i3lab Boostcamp is a pre-acceleration program for early stage startups that have an minimum viable prototype ready. The program focuses on market validation, achieving first sales, and polishing business model operations to greatly enhance the chance of being accepted to globally renowned accelerators, or preparing the company for investment. The program features support from Ecuador's best startup coaches and mentors, who have supported companies that include Shippify, Easymetering, Arcademe, among others.
Mentorship from professionals and C-level key players in the industry space for each startup in strategic, financial, and operational dimensions.
DESING AND DEVELOPMENT
Assessment in product and service development based on researcher and professional experience.
Access to i3lab resources including workspace, internet, basic services, projector, and meeting rooms.
PITCHES AND ACCESS TO INVESTORS
Effective presentation development skills and vetted access to investment opportunities.
Coaching on ideation, launch and validation of business models. Value proposition, segmentation, channels and other aspects of the business.
Empowerment of the required contact network in order to reach the right clients, providers, and other key allies.
IP & TECHNOLOGICAL SURVEILLANCE
Assessment in trends analysis and technological state of the art, as well as the potential to incorporate and/or protect your product or service.
KPI's AND VALUE PROPOSITION
Support in determining and evaluating value proposition and Key Performance Indicators towards scalability.
The program includes an initial presentation where teams present the stage of their entrepreneurial projects. During the program, teams will strengthen their business models, in order to present their startups to key actors in the ecosystem.

Training and tutoring will take place in i3lab, in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty (FIEC) Building, at the Gustavo Galindo ESPOL Campus. Mentoring can take place in different locations within the city.
During the program, participating teams will be able to mature their prototypes in Asiri Labs, a development lab and makerspace located in the Gustavo Galindo ESPOL Campus.
The Boostcamp is oriented towards founders in the city of Guayaquil or nearing regions as well as students, academics, and researchers within ESPOL that have already developed a prototype, have already achieved sales or have some level of customer relationship. Founders must be seeking to bring their solution to market, get first customers, or achieve investment.
Due to space availability, the number of selected participants for each Boostcamp is limited. Among the selection criteria used are the following:
- Commitment and time availability from the team members (20 to 40 weekly hours for each attending participant).
- Developed prototype (required).
- Business model scalability potential (required).
- Market validation (preferred).
- Innovative potential (preferred).
- Complementary team skills (preferred).
